Ohio High School All-Americans Honored at United Soccer Coaches Convention
One of our favorite parts of attending the United Soccer Coaches Convention is having the opportunity to see all of the All-American recipients and their families on such an exciting day. This year was extra special with so many recipients being players we have watched grow over the last 6 years into the special players they are today.
The 2024 Fall Ohio High School Soccer All-Americans were honored yesterday at the United Soccer Coaches Convention, celebrating the top players in the state for their exceptional skills and dedication on the field. A total of 31 student-athletes were recognized, with notable performances across both the boys' and girls' teams. The biggest winner of the day was Walsh Jesuit High School, which had three students receive recognition—two girls, Hannah Pachan and Reagan Pentz, and one boy, Brady Catanzarite. This marks a significant achievement for the school, which saw both its men's and women's teams reach the state finals, only to lose in heartbreak fashion in penalty kicks.

A Year to Remember
Both the boys' and girls' soccer programs at Walsh Jesuit High School had a remarkable season. Their impressive run to the state finals, despite falling short in penalty kicks, is a testament to the talent and determination of the players. The recognition of Pachan, Pentz, and Catanzarite is well-deserved, highlighting the strength of their soccer program.
Addy Zawaly’s inclusion as a sophomore on the girls' team shows that Ohio’s future in soccer is in good hands, as she looks to continue following the path laid by Tessa Knapp, one of the most accomplished players in the state. As the youngest player on the girls' team, Zawaly’s recognition speaks volumes about her potential, and we can expect great things from her in the coming years.
The 2024 Fall High School All-American selections are a reflection of the growing talent in Ohio soccer, and these young athletes will undoubtedly continue to shine as they head into their collegiate and professional careers.
