Cincinnati United Dominance
Cincinnati United continues to assert its dominance across various platforms. Their CUP Gold teams, along with their MLS NEXT and Girls Academy (GA) teams, have consistently appeared in the top rankings. With strong performances across all age groups, Cincinnati United remains a powerhouse in both boys' and girls' divisions, making a clear statement that they are here to stay as one of the premier soccer clubs in Ohio.
Boys High School: MLS NEXT Powerhouses
In the older boys' high school age groups, two clubs dominate the rankings: FC Cincinnati MLS NEXT and Columbus Crew MLS NEXT. These teams have captured many of the top spots across the ranking platforms, reinforcing the strength of Ohio’s MLS NEXT programs. Both clubs continue to produce elite talent and set a high bar for the competition across the region.
Girls High School: Familiar Names Lead the Way
On the girls' side, Internationals SC, Club Ohio Dayton, and Ohio Premier (OP) continue to show their strength. These clubs, known for their consistent development and competitive edge, once again hold top spots in multiple age brackets. Each of these teams has a rich history of excellence, making them the teams to watch as we enter the final months of the fall season.
Rising Stars in Younger Age Groups
One of the most exciting aspects of this season is seeing newer clubs breaking into the top rankings in the younger age groups. Columbus Force has emerged as a top contender on the boys' side, showcasing impressive growth and talent development in the U9-U12 categories. Meanwhile, Barcelona United has made waves on the girls' side, proving that their commitment to player development is paying off.
Smaller Clubs Making Big Moves
Smaller clubs have also made their mark this fall, particularly in the Youth Soccer Games Polls. Southeast Cincinnati SA, Sylvania United, and BYSA have taken top spots, surprising many with their rise through the rankings. These clubs, often overlooked by larger organizations, are proving that quality coaching and parent commitment can lead to significant achievements on the field.
Looking Ahead
As we move deeper into the fall season and look toward next year it will be exciting to see how these rankings evolve. The competition remains fierce, and with more tournaments and league matches on the horizon, teams will have plenty of opportunities to solidify their rankings or make a final push for the top.
For now, these teams represent the best of Ohio youth soccer heading into October. Stay tuned as we continue to track their progress!
